What started as a dream for Pink Finss' Founder Jodie Amor, to establish a support group network for women diagnosed with breast cancer, has become so much more than that!

The community has embraced the organisation, and the charity has made a difference to the lives of almost 200 women and their families. In 2017 the Charity expanded to assist all women’s cancers - not just breast cancer.

There has been significant growth in the calls for help, particularly over the last six months, with over 18 new enquiries, which is a bittersweet feeling for Pink Finss.

“Whilst we are hearing more and more stories of diagnosis, it is comforting to know that we are there to offer a service that is really going to make a huge difference, not just to the woman diagnosed but to the whole family unit. What makes Pink Finss so special is that we offer a personal touch like no other, and at the end of the day if you have a loved one who is being diagnosed with cancer, you want them to have access to that!” said Jodie Amor.

With the Charity being fully funded by the community, Pink Finss holds two major fundraising events every year.

“Without community support Pink Finss would not be possible, so our events are always a great opportunity to come together and make everyone feel very much a part of what we do”.

One of the things the Hawkesbury is particularly good at is lending a hand, and there are many very worthy organisations doing great things for others in our community. We are thrilled to be acknowledged in such good company and are truly humbled by the love and support that is out there.
