Owner of Renovating for Profit, Cherie Barber has created a successful career out of purchasing property, renovating, styling and selling it. If you’ve ever wondered how to flip a property, we caught up with Cherie to talk about a home she successfully flipped for a profit in Werrington.

If I was to be put off by unsightly first impressions, I doubt I’d have bought any of the renovation projects that have reaped me millions in profit over the 25+ years I’ve been a professional renovator and educator.
This investment property I bought in the western Sydney suburb of Werrington Downs in July 2016 had zero street appeal, a completely overgrown backyard, and once inside, things didn’t get any cheerier. It was rundown, with peeling paint and smelly carpets and the layout was boxy and impractical. In other words, it was perfect for a largely cosmetic renovation that didn’t require any major remedial fixes.
